The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra is really kicking it up a notch this year as far as fundraising goes.
Last month, I had a great time at their Black Tie Bingo fundraiser. Yes, I said Bingo. It was a huge success with guests bidding on silent auction items with true Okanagan flavour, like local wines and bed and breakfast stays. The highlights of the evening were the Bingo games themselves, where hundreds (closer to thousands) of dollars in prizes were awarded to several lucky winners.

Their next fundraiser looks like it too will be brimming with Okanagan flavour. Cedar Creek Estate Winery is hosting "Feasting in the Vineyards" on Thursday, August 9 at 6 p.m. This is your chance to sample the very best of what the Okanagan has to offer.
Guest chefs include: Chef Geoffrey Couper, Chef Jesse Croy, Chef Matthew Batey, Chef Chris Thomas, and Chef Bernard Casavant.
These five chefs will prepare an al fresco feast that will wow even the most sophisticated of diners. The feast will take place among the vines at Cedar Creek Vineyard under sparkling lights.
The evening will be rounded out with some amazing auction items that include fabulous experience packages, special chefs packages and some rare wines.
To round out this amazing evening, guest musicians, Bruce Henczel and Gord Robert's Insansa Percussion Duo, will entertain you! This dynamic duo will take you places with their Roma Gypsy, African, South American, Spanish, Celtic, Classical and Carribean styles. You may even be serenaded by a fiddle as you enjoy your scrumptuous meals.
Tickets are only $160 per person (plus tax and gratuities). To purchase please call 250-764-8866 ext. 102. Seating is limited to 70 so act now before they sell out.
